Calling all mothers & fathers, future mothers & future fathers, caregivers and disciple-makers to know the ways of Jesus and become more like Jesus in the way we care.
“The Trust Journey” is Wisdom of Care’s 3-Part Foundational Resource and Equipping built upon TBRI®’s Caregiving Principles:
Address attachment needs by helping children develop trust, security and felt safety with their primary caregivers.
Address physical and environmental needs by making sure children’s physical and internal systems are physically regulated and prepared to learn and connect.
Focus on disarming fear- and survival-based behaviors and guiding children to respond in healthy, relational ways.
These 3 effective Caregiving Principles become transformational when taught and imparted through the lens of Christlikeness and the ways of Jesus, the Good Shepherd and Perfect Caregiver… And this is exactly what the Trust Journey does.
The Trust Journey developed through our family’s humble but bold witness and marriage of TBRI®—with Scripture and revelation about the care of Jesus.
The Trust Journey magnifies the redemptive care of Christ. And calls for a return to God’s original design for family, relationship and caregiving through:

Attachment by Design
In Part 1, we focus on the glory of God’s design for trust to develop through secure attachment with a primary caregiver. A shepherd.
Here we will learn specific ways to tend attachment needs—as we lay, restore and build upon the foundation of trust.
As Christlike caregivers, we are called to shape our babies’ brains in trust… by the way we repeatedly answer their cries, meet their needs, comfort their distress and clam them with our presence. We are called to be the most intimate part of establishing their security and true worth, influencing the rest of their lives and all of their relationships.
Strength & Support by Design
In Part 2, we focus on the glory of God’s design for capacity to develop—atop the foundation of trust—through being repeatedly supported and challenged by a primary caregiver. A shepherd.
Here we will learn specific ways to tend physiological and ecological needs—while developing, strengthening and stewarding capacity. And living by example in it all.
As Christlike caregivers, we are called to strengthen our children’s whole beings as they grow and develop. We are called to help set them up for healthy, sustainable and fruitful lifestyles so that they can thrive in the long-term relationships and labor God designed for them.
Protection by Design
In Part 3, we focus on the glory of God’s design for character to develop—atop the foundation of trust—through the caring instruction and intervention of a primary caregiver. A shepherd.
Here, we will learn specific ways to tend behavioral needs through giving “Proactive and Responsive Care.”
As Christlike caregivers, we are called—not to take away our children’s “fear-based strategies”—but to give them “new and better ways” in response to their behaviors. We are called to lead them to obey out of trust-based relationship—instead of fear of punishment. And to help them develop character based in true security—instead of insecure striving.

This shepherded experience is offered through both our written series and live trainings or gatherings.
The Trust Journey is designed to be relational—taken in around the table or in your living room with your spouse, family, closest friends or community. And most importantly, this journey is meant to draw all of us closer to the Good Shepherd Himself and lead us to shepherd in His image.
As shepherds we are entrusted to be part of:
… in “our own”
So this 3-Part Trust Journey is designed to help us grow in the way we:
“Every child of God’s lifelong relational journey begins in the womb…”
The “Trust Jouney” intentionally begins with Book 1: Born in Need…
This is the foundations of foundations, where we learn about “Attachment by Design” and how the first 3 years of life are the most formative for a child’s brain development, physical and internal growth, and most importantly, all of their relationships.
The journey starts with Book 1: Born in Need
